A term used to describe someone joking or not being serious. “Having a laugh” is often used to suggest that something is humorous or unbelievable. It can also imply that someone is making fun of a situation or being cheeky.
Example: “You want me to do all that work in one hour? You’re having a laugh!”
Means: “You expect me to do all that work in one hour? You must be joking!”
Example: “Are you really going out in that outfit, or are you having a laugh?”
Means: “Are you seriously going out in that outfit, or are you joking?”
