Salty is used to call out someone who is visibly annoyed, bitter, or upset, often over something minor or petty.

Example: “He got salty because I ignored his text.”
Means: “He got annoyed and moody because I didn’t reply.”

Example: “Don’t get salty just because she called you out.”
Means: “Don’t get bitter just because she criticised you.”
