Gyatt (noun / exclamation / modern slang)
(Also heard as: Gyat, Level 10 Gyatt, Gyat damn, Big gyatt)
Definition:
-
A shout of shock or appreciation when someone with a massive, curvy bum walks past.
-
Slang for an attractive person’s backside itself.
Where It Comes From: Short for shouting “goddamn” in black American and Caribbean slang (“GYAT-damn!”). Twitch streamers Kai Cenat and YourRAGE turned it into a massive meme around 2021 by yelling it whenever a curvy girl popped up on screen. Once TikTok and YouTube Shorts grabbed hold of it, schoolkids across the globe started chanting it at anything with a big rear end.
How People Actually Use It: Spammed non-stop in livestream comments, TikTok reels, and school hallways. It’s what lads yell when someone walks into the gym in tight leggings, or what people drop in the group chat under a video of a girl with huge curves. It’s also become the face of modern “brainrot” humor, usually paired up with other daft Gen Alpha memes.
Examples in the Wild:
-
“Did you see the girl who just walked past? Gyatt!”
Translation: That girl has a massive, noticeable bum.
-
“He spent the whole stream losing his mind over a Level 10 gyatt.”
Translation: He completely lost his composure over an attractive girl’s curves.
-
“The comments under her gym workout video are just hundreds of people typing ‘gyatt’.”
Translation: The comment section is flooded with people admiring her physique.
